Privatization of 49 percent of Spanish Civil Aviation Authority

The Spanish government has taken a decision to sell 49 percent of shares in the state-owned airport operator Aena. Spanish government will retain 51 percent of the network operator.


“Today, we took the decision to launch the sale,” said the minister Ana Pastor at the Development Department at a press conference according to the ABC newspaper.


Sales will not be surprising when the Spanish government has wanted to sell Aena a time.


Renfe railway monopoly loses its monopoly


Renfe railway monopoly on passenger traffic in Spain is expected to end next year.


Spanish government will decide on the liberalization of rail transport, which would end the 73-year monopoly. The measure has been planned for some time, but is about a year overdue.

But APPA has not yet received the document to confirm that the company is registered in the Trade Register Registro Mercantil.
